Artist's Book

From the Middle ~ Sonorités du Coeur

The book "From the Middle" is essentially about living from one's heart. This idea is presented through the encapsulated history of five generations of women. The artist's viewpoint is from the center of this family. By several means, photos of paintings, poetry and the physical layout of the book, the reader is placed in an intimate experience, an embrace.

The bilingual book comes in a handmade brilliant red linen box and unfolds on art paper from India and France. There were only fifty (50) copies printed, all signed by the artist. Copies were purchased by both the provincial and national libraries and chosen to be part of a travelling exhibit; Le scénario visuel de la page: 100 livres d’artistes.

The painting "Mom" is the one shown in the open book.  Only a small number of copies remain available at US$325.
